Does Zelle work with UMB? ›

Morgan Stanley maintains arrangements with JP Morgan Chase Bank, N.A. and UMB Bank, N.A. as NACHA-participating depository financial institutions for the processing of transfers on Zelle®. Data connection required, and message and data rates may apply, including those from your communications service provider.

You can send, receive, or request² money with Zelle. To get started, make sure you are enrolled in United Bank's mobile banking app, Bank With United in the Apple App Store or Google Play. If you're already enrolled, select the “+” symbol, then select “Zelle” to get started.

There may be an issue with the email address or mobile number they have enrolled with Zelle^®. You may verify with the Recipient they have fully enrolled with the email address or mobile number you are trying to send money, and have opted into receive notification.

Some notable financial institutions that NerdWallet has reviewed and that don't participate directly in the Zelle network include Alliant Credit Union, American Express, Barclays, Connexus Credit Union, LendingClub Bank, Marcus by Goldman Sachs, Pentagon Federal Credit Union, SoFi and Synchrony Bank.

But, even if you don't have Zelle^® available through your bank or credit union, you can still use it! Simply download the Zelle^® app in the App Store or Google Play and enroll an eligible Visa^® or Mastercard^® debit card. After you enroll, you can send and receive money with confidence to almost anyone you trust.

The Bottom Line: Zelle Transaction Limits

Sending limits usually range from $500 to $5,000 per day and $10,000 to $20,000 per month, though some banks may allow you to increase your limits.

Both of the payment services are decently safe, have user-friendly interfaces, and allow you to conveniently send money when you need it. Zelle stands out from Venmo with its absence of instant transfer fees, but it also cannot be used as a wallet.

Zelle lets users send money from their bank accounts to another person's account. This happens instantly even if the sender and receiver use different banks. Zelle itself does not charge users a fee to send or receive money.
